Well its a start

The lentils are going down, but I'm going to need a faster method as this little section took an hour!
Anyway, you will notice that the stone work around the edge has been completed, as have the gateways for the river/sewer and the basis for the retaining wall glued down.


  1. Do you think it will matter that much if some of the split peas are upside down?

  2. I really don't know. Its just they didn't look brilliant when I did the test piece and pull off really easily if caught.

    I had an idea about watering the pva slightly and "floating" them into position en-mass, but I'm not sure how that would pan out.

  3. What about something like thin wallpaper paste... then spread the lentils down... when the paste sets and you paint it it might look like the cement holding the cobbles down?
