The Greatest Pretenders. Severely disappointed not to walk away with the win for this one as Dan was fielding exactly 11 players and by the end of the first half three of them were in the casualty box. Dice rolling was pretty average for both of us and I was enjoying myself so I just ran the TD in opposed to time wasting. My defence was great and I forced Dan to make several Dodge rolls to achieve anything. Then came the second half and Dan was receiving. He made a break into my half and danced through several tackle zones to set up a cage, then he tried to Dodge from the Krox and, with prehensile tail and no re-rolls working against him, fell over. This freed up the Krox to move and cancel out the assisting tackle zones, a Dodge let me move a Skink to assist, then a double dodge and blitz from a second skink laid out the Ball carrier, stunning him in the process. The ball bounced and the Krox caught it on a 6! Turn 12 and a couple of blocks freed up the Krox to carry the ball into an open cage. Not wanting to take any risks I played turn 13 with very few blocks and moved the Krox into striking distance of a Touchdown. The Elves threw everything in a desperate effort to stall the advance and succeeded in getting two blockers in base contact with the Saurus. By the end of my turn 14 they were still in base contact and I decided to risk hitting them with the Krox, it's a two dice block and I only needed a pushback... Double block...Oops! Krox falls down, a saurus and a skink fail to catch the ball and it lands in the only square with an opposing tackle zone in it. Turn 15 and the Elves have made little impression and a skink is close enough to get up, move to pick up the ball and score with a single dodge and go for it, all I had to do was push the Elf away. Two dice block with a Saurus and... Double Block dice...saurus falls down. Turn 16 exactly the same situation though this time I need to blitz with the Saurus, no probs. Up he gets and blitzes for a two dice block and yet again I roll double block! The game ends TD 1-1 Cas 4-1. The only upside was 3 of the Saurus managed to skill up so now have Block!

I have lived a long and fulfilling life and it is at the end that I recall my adventures with you all. You are the ones I trust most and of whom I must ask a final boon, but not one without reward should you choose to accept the stipulations.
Lewis, thank you for sharing my formative years. To you, I bequeath my research and artifacts to use or dispose of as you will.
My dear Lord Thyme, yes that is correct. To you, I return the peerage and estates that I so distastefully acquired two decades ago.
Alexander, for years you have insisted that you owed me your life. That once did not in anyway balance out the multitude of rescues you passed off as merely 'doing your duty'. To you I leave the contents of my bank account, i believe it to be somewhere in the region of forty thousand pounds.
My lawyer, Edward Aithmile, will accompany you to ensure my wishes are carried out.
Now to the crux of the matter. I have almost completed my research and will shortly be attempting to bind a temporal daemon to the physical world. To accomplish this I will need to enact the summoning ritual and place Thyme Hall out of syncronisation with the natural world, once this is achieved I will bind the daemon to a physical form and shape its thoughts to that of a human. The downside is that once in corporal form, the daemonic energies will shape reality around the being and it will be as if it had always existed. I know I will not be immune to the daemon's power, in fact I am relying on that as the beast will still have the ability to read minds albiet unconsciously and if it were to procure the knowledge of its true nature before the binding is complete it will rebel and all will be lost.
Gentlemen to you I ask for stewardship of one Ria Dansett, the name I have given to this construct. After a period of sixty days the binding will be complete and you will be free to claim your reward, as for Ms Dansett she will be gifted to certain government officials who will benefit from her precognitive abilities.

Same today at Warhammer World, brand new Lizard team obliterated a starting Orc team TD 3-0 Cas 2-0. Okay, so Jack was inexperienced but after a disastrous first four turns (couldn't pick up the ball on a 3+, then failed a go for it) I romped home.

Here's a couple of pics post second game of my force set out for judging, I was brooding over being cheated so my brain wasn't in gear hence why I was tabled and didn't take any photos. My opponent was very good and I think I would have lost anyway, but bringing my third unit onto the table along the right flank meant my forces were spread across the table and he could easily take me apart piecemeal. On a side note that SM army is painted, as JP noted, it looked as if he had gone to a lot of trouble to make it look like it was straight off the sprue.
Last game and I was up against Orks again, my Slugga boyz vs his Shoota Boyz with Old Zorgwort. A very enjoyable game, despite being blinded by the setting sun. Very, very close game that came down to a single leadership test on 4. Gil failed the first one but passed the second with a Bosspole re-roll, I lost 3-1 because of that and had failed to take out his HQ. To add insult to injury the bloody DeffKoptas completely failed to show up granting him an extra point for most expensive unit. All they had had to do was turn up and mop up two units of 10 grots to secure me victory. Oh well...

Second game and it started well, won the Fame roll and the toss again turn 6 and I was 1-0 up! Not caused a single casualty but what the hell none of my players were out either. Second half and it was still looking promising as I held the line against the orcs, but then Mark formed a cage around one of my skinks and I realised I was in trouble. Throwing another skink into the mix, I managed to risk a two dice block against his ball carrier with mark choosing the result. Defender down and ... a push back, at least he was now against the sideline. Mark's rebuttal was both brutal and decidedly lucky as he took out all four skinks (killing number 10) and a saurus. With the saurus and kroxigor locked in a scrum, Mark was able to time waste until stepping over the line at the end of the second half.

Well guess who forgot to take pictures and hasn't had time to do a match report?
Anyway, Ichibo Lox debuted against the current league leaders and received a whopping 400k in inducements. After much wrangling I decided to take 2 skink mercenaries and 2 extra re-rolls, but I should have taken 3 re-rolls and 1 mercenary.
Pre-game the dice were with me, I won the fame roll and the toss so set up to receive.
Then things went wrong. Kick off table was changing weather and the rain came down. By turn 4 I had picked up the ball once and burnt all 4 re-rolls to do so and then failed the go for it to get the ball carrier safely into a cage. The dropped ball lands in between three nuns, Gary makes it for then fumbled the pick up.
Turn 5 and I attempt something daring and send in a skink to dodge, dodge, pick up on 6, dodge again and pass. Managed the dodge, dodge and pick up then fell over on the next dodge. Gary capitalised and picked up the ball, scoring pretty much unmolested at the end of turn 6.
Set up again with 2 turns left to score an equaliser, rolled changing weather again and we were back to perfect bb weather. Turn 7 started well the skink picked up the ball and was safely tucked into a cage in the nuns half, but unfortunately we were 11 squares from the end zone. All I needed to do was sneak the remaining 2 skinks through the Nuns defence safe in the knowledge he could only take out one and then I'd be able to attempt a pass into the endzone.
It didn't happen. The first to attempt it managed to skip through the first two dodges but stumbled and that was pretty much the end of the first half.
Second half saw the ball stay on the touchline as neither the nuns or Ichibo Lox could pick up the ball. Several touchdown plays were thwarted by a fumbled ball, until weight of numbers for the nuns proved too much and they killed a skink (not one of the mercenaries either!) before pushing forward for a second touchdown. Sensing the inevitable, I ganged up on one of the nuns for a 3 dice block and rolled... a triple pushback.
Final turn and I managed to push back every possible nun, before picking up the ball and making a quick pass for 1spp.
One of the saurus managed to pick up the MVP and I got the bonus 50k for fielding a painted team, so could afford the skink who was supposed to give me a reserve and ended up replacing poor number 10.
Note to self: Don't play experienced Blodge teams for your first game.
